Living small 365

Day 10: It's my birthday!

It's my very first birthday living in the tiny house. Woo hoo!

We ate cake on Sunday already - and no big plans today. I believe Stephen is going to come over and cook me dinner. Hope he remembers it's all stove top - doh!

Day 9: More about Sunday & a new Monday

Oh yah - my daughter came over on Sunday too - and asked me to shave her head. Yup, shave. So we set a chair outside and give her a good close crop. She's a beautiful girl - and the cut looks good. She's been dying it so many colors for so long, she just wanted to get down to the base and start growing it out to a healthy state again. It's just hair after all.

Today it was a day at the office. I exeperimented and left the pups at home with thier dog door open and the new fence. They did just fine. The blankets on my couch - not so much. They drag a LOT of dirt in, that's for sure!

A fellow burner had contacted me via the contact form here asking to bring his brother by to see the house. They came over about 5-ish and it was fun showing off my handy work. I always enjoy sharing this idea.

Then it was off to the laundromat - always an interesting adventure.

later I was craving veggies - so whipped up a really nice stir fry tonight too. I'm really loving cooking with propane. Still working on getting the stove to fire up though.

Day 8: My lazy un-surprise party

My co-neighbors planned and hosted a lazy brunch today. The burner community here in Seattle held their anual decompression party known as SeaCompression last night - and the main house was open to all for lounging, eating, cuddling and all out lazy indulgances.

Stephen piggied back on this and threw me an "un-surprise" party too.

It was lovely! I rested hard - and I deserved it. Mimosas, tiny eggs, chocolate cake, friends and movies. Was just what I needed. Thank you everyone!
