Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, I feel grateful for the beauty of the area and appreciate the diverse culture and ideas that surround me.

Graduated from Olympia High School and went to the Art Institute of Seattle in the late '80s. I left there with a degree in visual communications.

I've had various jobs from pasting up the newspaper ads for Pay 'n Pak when it still existed, to helping produce the books, videos and product information for Rick Steve's Europe Through the Back Door. Many, many jobs in between.

I've traveled a bit - a few weeks in Japan when fresh out of high school, several countries in Europe including Italy, France, Switzerland and England. I want to see more of America though. I've never been to the south or the East coast.

I've raised an amazing daughter, been married (and divorced) twice. Now I'm trying to help my Mom out with the loss of my dad the best I can.

I'm a very active Burning man participant and very involved in the local Burning man community. It's amazing the things Burning man has given me, my friends, new ideas, new perspectives and stories to tell for the rest of my life. It just makes me want to give back in whatever ways I can.
